The West India House quite simply has something for everyone.
If you want a quiet drink in cosy surroundings then our warm and welcoming lounge bar complete with open log fire is just the place for you on a cold winter's night or indeed with a soothing breeze blowing through open windows while enjoying a cool drink during the height of summer.
If you prefer a more vibrant atmosphere then it is our bustling saloon bar where you should head. It is the larger of our two bars having been recently extended and refurbished with modern decor. You will always find it full of life thanks to our friendly crowd of regulars who can be found most evenings enjoying their home from home!
Both of our bars have state-of-the-art large flatscreen plasma televisions which really come into their own to enhance your viewing pleasure when we screen major live sporting events from time to time. There is also a high-end jukebox in the Saloon bar packed with the perfect mix of old classics and the latest hits.
Of course the main reason for going to a pub is to relax with a refreshing drink and you will not be disappointed on that count. For real ale drinkers we always have at least three well kept tipples on rotation at any one time including Butcombe, Bombardier and Tribute. We also offer our own-label West India House Wine plus a huge range of malt whiskies not to mention an extensive selection of draught and bottled lagers, ciders, shorts and soft drinks.
One of our major assets is our child-friendly beer garden to the rear of the pub offering outstanding views of rolling open countryside and a large space which can be utilised for both open air and under-cover functions by means of our large function room marquees.
Food is also one of our strong points. Aside from the customary bar snacks we also offer home cooked meals, including Sunday Lunches and Daily Specials, using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Please refer to the 'Food' page for further details.
We accept all major credit cards and have ample parking in our off-road car park to the front and side of the building.
